Jeep revealed their first electric scooter today, developed in partnership with Razor, named the Jeep Razor RX200. The companies promise the “style and feel of a Jeep Wrangler” and will be capable of going off-road.
Standing on two 8-inch pneumatic tires, the RX200 weighs 39.5 lb (18 kg) and features adjustable sport rubber grips with a twist throttle. There’s no suspension, but you will get dual headlights for extra visibility. Although, It only comes in one color, an olive-green colorway as a powder-coated steel frame instead of a traditional painted frame.
“Razor is always looking for creative ways to excite our riders and provide an exhilarating adventure. We are thrilled to collaborate with the iconic Jeep brand to create the Razor Jeep RX200. Powerful enough for off-road capability to go explore the outdoors.”
-Prsident of Razor Scooter’s, Jim Wagner
The top speed is 12 mph (19 km/h), which is less than most off-road electric scooters on the market today. However, the low rate is likely due to the 200-watt motor using a chain to drive the rear wheel. On the bright side, the Jeep Razor RX200 is priced at just $499, so you can save money if you don’t mind going a bit slower.

You won’t be going very far for very long, either. The 24V 7Ah lead-acid battery pack limits the ride time to 40-minutes. However, with just 168 Wh of battery, the scooter won’t hold up long-distance riding down roads or trails. Instead, it’s better suited for recreational riding or shorter trips and joy rides.
While it’s great to see Jeep expand its electric lineup, the scooter isn’t the most thrilling on offer in today’s market. That being said, we won’t know for sure until people can get their hands on one.
