Halo Board Beast
This is an off-road electric skateboard with dual motors that can deliver 3,200 watts of power. In fact, it can breeze through hills with an inclination grade of up to 25%. It’s also very quiet thanks to the direct-drive brushless motors that only whisper when you accelerate.
The deck is made out of bamboo and fiberglass material to improve durability and make it perfect to carve those sharp turns. Besides that, it features an ergonomic LCD remote control that lets you control it up to 26 mph. The battery can keep you going up to 25 miles after a full recharge.
However, the all-terrain wheels are purchased separately; they will cost about $127. On the bright side, the 120 mm all-terrain wheels are bigger and have treads that let them tackle just about any terrain from grass, dirt, gravel, and hard surfaces.

Backfire Ranger X2
The Backfire Ranger X2 includes a shock-absorbing deck that is 43 inches long and 13 inches wide fitted with 6.5-inch airless tires. You can ride the skateboard on off-road terrain, and it would be protected against dust and water jets.
If the IP55 water resistance rating doesn’t excite you, you would probably like the 22-mph top speed and 18.5 miles of range. Better yet, it comes with a turning radius of 2 meters and a maximum hill gradient of 30%.
The tires are airless, so you don’t have to worry about a puncture. The problem is, airless tires don’t offer better shock absorption on rough roads than pneumatic tires.

Bajaboard G4X
The Bajaboard G4X is an electric skateboard made in Australia to handle the most extreme off-road terrains. How good is it? For starters, it’s a 4-wheel drive electric skateboard that can accelerate from 0 to 30 mph in just 3 seconds. Not to mention, it’s fitted with 10-inch off-road pneumatic wheels; that’s bigger than anything we’ve seen so far.
It comes with 2 different battery options that deliver a range of 13.5 miles and 21 miles respectively. But it’s got a little trick up its sleeve that lets you switch off the front motors when you’re cruising so you can save the battery. It also features traction control and regenerative braking.
The Bajaboard G4X’s motor output is an impressive 6,000 W, which is enough to climb a hill at a 45% grade. If you’re worried about getting knocked off your feet, the e-skateboard is designed with shock absorbers on each wheel to make your ride comfortable. Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, you would be surprised it can support a maximum weight of up to 350 pounds.
On the downside, it’s heavier than most e-skateboards on our list. It’s also expensive, but we can excuse that since it’s not your typical off-road electric skateboard.
What we like about Bajaboard G4X
- 4-wheel drive
- High maximum payload
- Two battery options
- Traction control
- Exceptional top speed
- Extra-large tires
- Removable maple composite deck

Onewheel+ XR
The Onewheel +XR looks like a hybrid between a hoverboard and a skateboard; it comes with one gigantic wheel at the center. To be precise, it’s an air-filled tire that is 11.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches thick. You know what that means? It can easily transverse through the most extreme off-road terrains.
Another cool thing about it is that you don’t need a remote control to ride it. All you need to do is step on the board, lean forward and it will accelerate; if you want to slow down, you need to lean backward. In fact, this is one of the easiest electric skateboards to turn 180 degrees.
It has a top speed of 19 mph and a range of 18 miles after a full recharge. It should be able to climb uphill with a 20% grade. Even more impressive, the Onewheel+ XR is waterproof and fitted with intelligent LED lights.
However, it could be challenging to ride it if you’re a beginner; but with a little bit of practice, it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s also more expensive than most skateboards on our list.
What we like about Onewheel+ XR

Evolve Carbon GTR All Terrain
The Evolve Carbon GTR is what we would call a 2-in-1 electric skateboard. In other words, it comes with a different set of wheels so that you can easily convert it from a street skateboard to an all-terrain skateboard and vice versa.
If you install the all-terrain pneumatic tires, you should get about 19 miles of range with a standard battery and a top speed of about 22 mph. Otherwise, it features a dual-motor that produces 3,000 watts; that’s enough to climb up a hill at a 30% gradient.
Don’t forget the Evolve Carbon GTR is made out of high-grade carbon fiber material which performs better than maple or bamboo when it comes to shock absorption, durability, and flexibility. Did I mention that it uses regenerative braking that helps to conserve energy?
See the Evolve Carbon GTR All Terrain
Unfortunately, the all-terrain tires only have a depth of 7 inches. Sure, they would be ideal for grass, gravel, footpaths, and dirt tracks but don’t expect them to perform better on extreme rough roads compared to e-skateboards that have bigger tires.
What we like about Evolve Carbon GTR All Terrain
- It’s durable
- Bluetooth control with instant trigger
- Up to 30% range
- Regenerative braking
- Pneumatic all-terrain wheels
- Super-fast charger

MotoTec 1600W Dirt Electric Skateboard
If you take a closer look at the tires of the MotoTec 1600W dirt electric skateboard, you will notice they’re big with aggressive knobby tread patterns to improve the grip on rough roads. It’s also made out of 12 ply maple wood that is strong enough to hold a weight of up to 260 pounds.
Under the deck, it’s fitted with dual motors that add up to 1600 watts of power; that will take you from 0 to 15 mph in about 3.5 seconds. If you’re a beginner, you will appreciate the variable throttle option on the remote control that lets you dictate how fast or slow you want to ride. Moreover, if you want to stop, it shouldn’t be a problem if you engage the anti-lock brakes on the wireless remote control.

Aeboard AT2
The Aeboard AT2 is one of the most affordable off-road electric skateboards currently available; you can purchase it for less than $600. It’s designed with a 720-watt dual hub motor that’s capable of achieving a climbing grade of 25 to 30 percent.
The deck is made up of seven layers of Canadian maple which makes it lightweight and flexible enough to do landing tricks. What’s even more impressive is that it has a maximum weight capacity than most expensive e-skateboards on our guide. Besides that, the remote control comes with three riding modes that make it suitable for both beginners and experienced riders.
Its biggest shortcoming is the 11 miles of battery range; although you will have less range if you weigh more than 165 pounds. Then again, you could choose a longer-lasting battery, but that would almost double its price.
What we like about Aeboard AT2
- It’s an affordable option
- High maximum load capacity
- 30% grade hill climbing
- Easy to control
- Very flexible
What we don’t like about Aeboard AT2

Maxfind FF Plus
This electric skateboard incorporates high-grade plastic and glass fiber to make the deck super elastic and stable. This means, you probably won’t notice when you ride over bumps and gravel on rough roads. What’s more, the deck is coated with carbon fiber so that it doesn’t fade when exposed to sunlight.
While you’re riding, you get about 4.7 inches of ground clearance complemented by 6.5 inches of knobby rubber tires to improve traction and stability. Thanks to the 2400-watt dual motor, the torque is capable of a 35% inclination grade. It also comes with an LCD remote control and a battery you can easily swap.
However, we think its maximum weight capacity is average. If you weigh more than 220 pounds, this wouldn’t be your ideal all-terrain electric skateboard.
What we like about Maxfind FF Plus
- Water-resistant
- Electronic regenerative braking
- UV resistant carbon fiber coating
- Easy to swap the battery
- 35% grade inclination
- Excellent shock absorption
What we don’t like about Maxfind FF Plus

Vestar Black Hawk
If you’re looking for an electric off-road skateboard that you can easily adjust the tension for, the Vestar Black Hawk is a good option. Since it uses a belt-driven motor, you can change the wheels and improve the torque. Another advantage of belt-driven electric skateboards is that they have better heat dissipation.
With two motors with a combined power of 4000 W, you should be able to achieve 25 mph and a hill grade of 30 percent. The 15 Ah battery should give you a maximum range of 25 miles; if you apply the brakes, the energy will be recycled back to the battery. To top it off, the motor is shielded against splashes of water while you’re riding on grass, gravel, or dirt.
It’s almost perfect except that the belt-driven motor is a little bit noisy.
What we like about Vestar Black Hawk
- Adjustable belt tension
- Flexible and durable
- Regenerative brake system
- Easily replaceable tires
- Waterproof
What we don’t like about Vestar Black Hawk
- It’s noisy

- Rider weight limit: 330 lbs.
- Top speed: 25 mph
- Wheel size: 5 inches
- Unit weight: 26 lbs.
Ownboard Bamboo AT Skateboard
The deck on this skateboard is about 39 inches long and 12 inches wide; that’s bigger than most skateboards on our list. Surprisingly, it can go as fast as a horse at full throttle to 24 mph. Even the range is slightly above average, as you get about 19 miles on a good day.
Beyond that, the manufacturer offers two different wheel options; 6-inch solid rubber tires or 7-inch pneumatic tires. Of course, the 7-inch air-filled tires offer better shock absorption and traction. Talking about the torque, you can easily climb up a hill at a 30 % gradient.
Its biggest flaw? The maximum weight limit is underwhelming for a skateboard of its size and quality.
What we like about Ownboard Bamboo Skateboard
- 2 different all-terrain tire options
- Regenerative braking
- Waterproof ceramic bearings
- 30% hill grade
- Easy to control
- Excellent grip

What’s the best option?
If we had to pick the ultimate king of the off-road electric skateboard, we would choose the Bajaboard G4X; this is because it’s a powerful 4 wheel drive all-terrain electric skateboard. But if you’re on a tight budget, the Aeboard AT2 or MotoTec 1600W Dirt Electric Skateboard would be a good option.
