Velotric just announced two new e-bikes hitting the market this April 15th, the Thunder 1 and Thunder 1 ST. Both bikes feature a discrete style, and you probably wouldn’t;t even know they were electric if you saw them riding by you.
The Thunder 1 is a smart e-road bike with the Velopower E35+ drive system and Torque Sensor. It’s sleek, clean, and has zero wiring, with that whole rat-nest hidden within the frame. At only 36 lbs, this class one e-bike can reach a top speed of 20 mph and has a maximum range of 70 miles, making it perfect for inner-city trips.
With Velotrics accompanying the app, users can access features such as anti-theft via GPS tracking and three riding modes. You can also unlock the bike directly from your phone; you use a built-in fingerprint sensor on the bike to unlock it. The Thunder 1 is set to retail at $1799, making it an affordable option for those in the market for a smart e-bike.
The Thunder 1 ST is another smart e-road bike and kind of the baby cousin to the Thunder 1. It also weighs 36 lbs and features the same drivetrain and torque sensor. However, it only has a maximum range of 52 miles. The Thunder 1 ST doesn’t have any IoT features but works with Apple Find My, making it one of the first e-bikes to join this network. This class 1 e-bike has a top speed of 20 mph and will retail at $1499.
Both e-bikes are a testament to the latest e-bike technology and aim to provide a smooth and efficient riding experience. Their lightweight design and impressive range make them perfect for commuting, leisurely rides, and running errands. Plus, The new drive system has improved range and a more powerful torque compared to competitors in this class. Whether you’re an e-bike enthusiast or new to the scene, the Velotric Thunder 1 and Thunder 1 ST are two e-bikes you don’t want to miss.
