After waiting several years for the first all-electric Honda motorcycle, it has finally arrived, if not a bit smaller than expected. Meet the CRF-E2, a mini electric dirt bike for kids.

In partnership with Greenger Powersport, Honda targets the 50cc class to “leave a lasting impression your kids will never forget.” The CRF-E2 promises all the fun that comes with a CRF50, but without a gas engine’s noise, emission, and heat. That’s good for the little ones, considering a hot machine is dangerous to touch, not to mention a fire hazard.

You’ll find a 48V brushless motor that generates 1.2 kW (1.6 horsepower) and 2.5kW (3.4 horsepower) maximum power. The 20 AH/960 Wh swappable battery lasts up to two hours and can fully recharge in two and a half hours with the available quick charger. The battery can also be swapped out for a spare, keeping your kids riding longer.

While this Honda bike may be small, it’s certainly not cheap at $2950. That’s a lot more expensive than the Tela Cyberquad for kids, which costs a little over a thousand dollars less. Granted, Tesla’s mini electric ATV won’t go as fast and doesn’t;t have as many aluminum components.

You can pick up the Honda CRF-E2 at any North American Honda Powersports dealership.
