Celebrating their 50th anniversary of making vehicles for every terrain, Can-Am is launching a new legacy starting with two all-electric motorcycles. Check out the teaser video below, then read on for everything we know.

Can-Am began building high-performance dirt-dikes in the early 1970s, then expanded into ATVs and other three-wheeled mobile machines. Now, they are returning to their two-wheeled roots while heading towards an electric future.

With the motorcycle industry shifting to electric, we saw an opportunity to reclaim our motorcycle heritage. This new product category is extremely important to us, and we are thrilled that Can-Am motorcycles are the first EV models in BRP’s electric lineup. Many of us have very fond memories of riding the early dirt bike models, and now we look forward to building on the rich history of the Can-Am brand to inspire and impress a new generation of motorcyclists and electric vehicle enthusiasts.

– José Boisjoli, president and CEO of BRP

We don’t have much detailed information on the upcoming motorcycles, other than that they will suit everyday commuting and recreational on and off-road riding. The bikes appear to be single-seaters from the teaser clip and sport a naked design similar to Zero motorcycles. There’s also a rather large display screen above the handlebars.

Of course, there are two more bikes to the right of the ones coming in 2024. Sadly, they are too shrouded in shadows for us to get a good look. They will likely be next-in-line to launch the following year. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming Can-Am electric motorcycles.
